The Institute for the Study of Human Rights is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the the book Global Indigenous Youth: Through Their Eyes. The book, written by Indigenous young authors from the seven Indigenous sociocultural regions, is the result of a collaboration between the Global Indigenous Youth Caucus and the Institute for the Study of Human Rights.The launch will take place during the 18th session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, on 25 April.

In early April, 2012 Advocate Kemal Pervanic spoke on “Grassroots Peace-Building in Bosnia Working with Youth and the Arts” at Columbia University in a dialogue sponsored by the Human Rights Advocates Program (HRAP), and the Harriman Institute at Columbia University. Kemal’s talk served as the third feature for HRAP’s 30th Anniversary (1989-2019) Alumni Speaker Series.

2010 Advocate Agnes Apea Atim was chosen by Vital Voices to join its inaugural VVEngage Cohort, which is made up of 22 women influencing and making policy from 17 different countries from around the world. Vital Voices launched the one-year fellowship to increase the capacity, decision-making power, and effectiveness of women leaders in public life.
