Abstract

The article discusses the concept of institutional memory and the U.S. Air Force, and how the two factors, such as preferred American Way of War and influence of Operation Desert Storm, influence decision making and contribute to the institutional memory of the military service. Topics include institutional memory, which is defined as a collective set of lessons learned, experiences and best pratices, military procurement, and military strategy.
