2018 Advocate Marijana Savić from the Belgrade-based NGO Atina was recognized as a TIP (Trafficking in Persons) Report Hero by the US Department of State in a ceremony in Washington, DC.

Professor Stamatopoulou shared the news that, finally, after many years of work on Indigenous Peoples’ rights, her book Indigenous Peoples in the International Arena: The Global Movement for Self-Determination, published by Routledge, is coming out on July 12th. In the author’s words “I am grateful to all those from around the world who encouraged the creation of this book with such care and expectation.

Between September 24th, 2023 and January 7, 2024 the Metropolitan Museum of Art ran the popular and highly reviewed Manet/Degas exhibition. However, one of the Manet paintings that entered the Princeton University Art Museum’s collection in 1979 with the inherited title "Gypsy with a Cigarette" unintentionally perpetuated negative stereotypes.

2013 Advocate Absolom Shalakha of Kenya (center) served on the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to the 29 May 2024 General Elections in The Republic of South Africa. Absolom is a richly experienced elections’ specialist with over a decade of expertise serving on elections observation missions. He was an analyst for the Uwiano Platform for Peace team that helped deliver peaceful elections in Kenya in 2013 and 2017.

The final alumnus to be featured in this series is Junghwa “Sam” Lee who earned a master’s in International Development Education from Teachers College in 2012. She is a learning design expert at McKinsey & Co.
