Nominate them for an Edward O'Brien HRE Award.

HRE USA hands out two awards annually in honor of  Ed O’Brien, pioneer human rights educator and valued member of HRE USA who died in 2015.

One award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to human rights education (HRE) in the United States.

The other award honors an organization, institution, or program that has made a similarly outstanding contribution to HRE in the United States.

Do you need funding to support your own human rights education development or initiative?

Apply for a 2019 Flowers Fund Grants.

Every year, the Flowers Fund provides small grants of up to $1000 to support innovation and mentorship in human rights education (HRE) in the United States.

The fund encourages new philosophic and theoretical thinking, new pedagogies, new outreach methods for HRE, and emerging leadership in the field.

The Fund will consider applications for research, travel, professional development, and project support that have direct relevance to HRE in the United States.
