| Abstract | Information about several papers discussed at the conference of scholars from different 11 countries held in Irkutsk, Russia on May 19-25, 2007. The scholars have discussed the intellectual traditions in the study of Eurasia and explores the new developments in historical, ethnographic and archeological methods applied to the study of indigenous people of Siberia. Among the speakers include John Barrett, Gerald Oetellar, and Julie Cruikshank.
