Abstract

The article examines the characteristics of the historical narratives that make up the resources of the Azeri, Armenian and Georgian cultural traditions in the central Caucasus. It states that the Azeri tradition of historical writing first appeared in the 18th century, however, majority of historical works were written in the 19th century. Moreover, it says that these historical narratives offer accounts of the history of reigns of individual rulers and khanates of Azerbaijan.
