Abstract | Abstract Abstract: In this essay Nolan proposes that “the modern Native play is, in fact, a simulacrum of the modern memory play, but without excuses.” Through an exploration of a range of Aboriginal drama – her own and that of others - Nolan demonstrates how the act of remembering in theatre can be a means of both reanimating the past and moving forward into the future. |
