Abstract | This article deals with the need for making a reflection on the configuration process of "collective memory" and "territories" shared in relation to September 11th, 1973 after 30 years of the military takeover in Chile, from a socio-semiotic point of view. Therefore, our proposal involves the following main objectives: 1) on the one hand, to present a conceptual description and discussion in relation to concepts such as "collective memory," "text," "borderlines," and "territories," based on the theoretical statements of Maurice Halbwachs, Manuel Antonio Garretón, René Kaës, Luri Lotman, Cristina Peñamarín, among others; 2) on the other hand, to make a contribution to a reflection on the already named concepts by analyzing an institutional discourse practice, delivering results and final considerations in relation to the purpose of our analytical interests.
