| Abstract | This article discusses interactionist approaches to collective memory. The article further discusses three analytic questions for an interactionist examination of collective memory, if we should conceptualize collective memory as process or product, what makes a collective memory effective between its inherent qualities or promotion and reception, and how a collective memory is transmitted and manifested through media or interpersonal diffusion.
