Abstract | A review essay is presented which addresses the journal's Metagraph series of book and research article reviews, and it presents evaluations of the book "Through the Heart of Dixie: Sherman's March and American Memory" by Anne Sarah Rubin and the article "Sherman's March and America: Mapping Memory" which was developed by Rubin and is maintained by Dan Bailey and Kelley Bell. Innovations are examined, along with the late U.S. Union Army General William T. Sherman's march in 1864-1865.
