Abstract

The author argues that allowing victim testimonies following instances of humanitarian and international crises is central to appropriate transitional justice and dismisses criticism that it elicits improper sympathy. She uses as examples the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the Nuremberg trials, and the trial of Adolf Eichmann.
