Abstract

The article discusses the practice and development of ethnohistory. Accordingly, ethnohistory has experienced an enormous growth during the 1970s and has come into its own as a recognizable and respected methodological subfield of the disciplines of anthropology and history. The anthropology and history are brought together in the field of ethnohistory that combines a cultural anthropological theoretical framework with historiographic research procedures for the study of culture and culture process.
