Almost 6 million Palestine refugees live in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Since 1950, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) is the dedicated UN agency to provide protection and assistance to this population.
