-Michael Miiro is the technical advisor on HIV/AIDS, disability, and sexual- and gender-based violence (SGBV) for the Masaka Association of Persons with Disabilities Living with HIV & AIDS (MADIPHA). He has trained village health teams, health workers, and police in sign language, and held workshops about persons with disabilities (PWDs) who are living with HIV & AIDS as well as SGBV against PWDs.
-Francis Bichnord Komla Asong is one of the founding members of Voice of People with Disability Ghana (VOICE Ghana). Over the past 18 years, Francis has contributed to the organization’s development into one of Ghana’s leading organizations dedicated to persons with disabilities.
-Judy Heumann is a lifelong advocate for the rights of disabled people. President Obama appointed Judy as the first Special Advisor for International Disability Rights at the U.S. Department of State, where she served from 2010 to 2017.
Francis is participating in the 2020-21 Human Rights Advocates Program at Columbia University; Michael attended HRAP in 2017.
