2017 Advocate Michael Miiro has been named the Country Representative of Uganda at The Danske Handicap Forbund (DHF).
Michael reports: “In my new role, I will build the capacity of eight partner organizations: Uganda National Association of Cerebral Palsy, Brain Injury Support Organization of Uganda, Elgon Foundation for Persons with Albinism, Masaka Association Disabled Persons Living with HIV&AIDS (MADIPHA), Sickle Cell Association of Uganda, Spinal Injuries Association, Source of the Nile Union of Persons with Albinism, and The Arthritis Association Of Uganda. I hope I will be able to see all their members enjoy an inclusive society as Ugandans and also ensure their full rights are respected.”
Previously, Michael was Technical Advisor with MADIPHA. Michael holds a post graduate diploma in community-based rehabilitation from Kyambogo University-Kampala and a Bachelor of Adult and Community Education from Makerere University-Kampala.
