The Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University is looking for qualified human rights instructors to teach the following courses during the 2024-2025 academic year. Please note that these are part-time, adjunct appointments, with the possibility of continued teaching in subsequent semesters.
- Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Human Rights (Fall or Spring term)
- Disability Rights (Fall or Spring term)
Each course will be offered as a seminar for graduate students and advanced undergraduates, and will incorporate human rights-specific pedagogical approaches with an emphasis on critical thinking, writing, research, and argumentation skills.
