Call for Human Rights Course Instructors

The Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University is looking for qualified human rights instructors to teach the following courses during the 2024-2025 academic year. Please note that these are part-time, adjunct appointments, with the possibility of continued teaching in subsequent semesters. 

  • Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Human Rights (Fall or Spring term)
  • Disability Rights (Fall or Spring term)
Each course will be offered as a seminar for graduate students and advanced undergraduates, and will incorporate human rights-specific pedagogical approaches with an emphasis on critical thinking, writing, research, and argumentation skills.
