Inspired by his own experience living abroad for the last decade, Daniil spent his time in Columbia fostering dialogue and engagement on the various elements of migrant struggles and issues, be it through his graduate thesis on the experience of Ukrainians fleeing the full-scale Russian invasion or through his co-presidency of the Human Rights Graduate Group.
Daniil has previously earned his Bachelor’s degree as a dual major in History and Politics from Queen Mary University of London, where he wrote his dissertation analyzing the breakdown of international norms in the 21st century through the lens of imperialism. Outside of school, Daniil has worked with Columbia World Projects on a briefing regarding the regulation of the tech sector in the US and volunteers as a mentor with Brave Generation, helping your Ukrainians get into colleges abroad.
With his Master’s education concluded, Daniil is now pursuing a JD at the University of California, College of the Law, as his final step before committing to a career in law.
