The United States must lead by example when it comes to protecting and promoting human rights around the world. America’s global leadership is derived from the values of its people and its system of democratic government. Lately, however, we’ve seen a dramatic erosion in America’s moral authority stemming from abuses against peaceful protesters who are demanding equality.

The Government of Greenland approves historic National Action Plan to comply with UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. For decades it has been documented that many children in Greenland live under very difficult conditions. Greenland has major socioecomic problems, including care neglect and high levels of suicide and substance abuse.

2015 Advocate Louisa Essendi is currently working as a consultant JINSIANGU:  an Intersex, Transgender and Gender non-conforming organization in Kenya, and identifies herself as a black, lesbian, queer, feminist, womxn. Gigi is also the Board Chair with Minority Womxn in Action and Rainbow Womxn of Kenya, both of which are Lesbian, Bisexual and Queer womxn-led organizations in Nairobi and Mombasa, respectively. Essendi also works as an independent consultant, working within Kenya and other countries in the region.
