With the support of the United Nations Democracy Fund, 2016 Advocate Raoul Kitungano Mulondani and his team at Justice for All organized a training for 30 journalists from South Kivu and Bukavu, the DRC. The journalists learned how to report on the collection and allocation of subnational revenues in the mining sector in an effort to monitor mining royalties and ensure that local communities receive fair profits from mining.

1996 Advocate TJ Kaguri spoke to current HRAP participants as well as HRAP alumni about his 20-year journey educating HIV/AIDS orphans in southwestern Uganda through the organization he founded, Nyaka.  Kaguri has built two primary schools and one secondary and vocational school. Nyaka's programming has impacted more than 60,000 children.

Congratulations to 2010 Advocate Agnes Apea Atim who was elected MP of Amolatar District in Northern Uganda. She is the founder and CEO of Hope Development Initiative which works to unlock the leadership, citizenship and entrepreneurial potential of  rural women through agribusiness. She earned a PhD in International Development from the University of Reading in the UK.
