The Development of Global Cooperation within the LGBTQ Human Rights Communities

Dr. Olena Semenova is a Ukrainian born LGBTQI human rights activist and a doctor of medicine. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of human rights activism, HIV prevention, and specifically, LGBTQI freedoms. Dr. Semenova is a founding member of several LGBTQI organizations and initiatives including KyivPride, where she served as Press Officer. In 2015, Dr. Semenova became a Deputy Chair of LGBT Association "LIGA", Ukraine's oldest operating LGBTQI organization. She also co-founded "MunichKyivQueer", a collaboration group between Munich and Kyiv, and later "KyivPride Canada" which seeks to connect the LGBTQI communities in Ukraine and Canada.
