ISHR celebrated the conclusion of the 2022-23 HRAP with a farewell lunch for the 10 advocates who completed the six-month program on May 1st. Columbia faculty and staff from the Morningside and Medical campuses, workshop instructors from human rights organizations and StoryCorps, representatives of donor organizations that support HRAP, and International House staff attended the farewell. On behalf of her fellow advocates in the cohort, Ana Maria Belique of the Dominican Republic thanked everyone for their support. Stephanie Grepo and Joseph Slaughter of ISHR presented the advocates with their Certificates of Participation. The 2022-23 HRAP included two months of online workshops followed by the spring semester at Columbia which included graduate courses, networking, skill-based workshops and mentoring.
