The 2023 edition of the Global School of Indigenous Women Leaders took place remotely this year. It was the tenth edition of this unique program.
The Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Program of the Institute for the Study of Human Rights has been cooperating with FIMI on this program since 2013 and organized a series of weekly seminars for Indigenous women from February to May 2023. The seminars provided a human rights curriculum and gave the opportunity to participants to explore a broad context of human rights topics and advocacy.
In the 10 years since the beginning of this Program, 248 Indigenous women from all continents have participated, expanding the networks of practice and solidarity around the world. We wish all the participants of the Global School of Indigenous Women Leaders continuing strength and wellbeing in their struggles for justice and human rights.
