2011 Advocate Ifeanyi Orazulike, Executive Director of the International Center for Advocacy on Rights to Health (ICARH), presented at the Informal Interactive Civil Society Hearing on HIV at the United Nations in April. Ifeanyi addressed the need to reach out to prisoners and men who have sex with men (MSM). The hearing was part of the groundwork for the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS, which will take place June 8th – 10th in New York. Ifeanyi is dedicated to defending the fundamental human rights of the MSM and LGBTI population in Nigeria and engages with development partners at local, regional and international platforms on human rights dialogue around LGBTI and sexual health issues. ICARH is dedicated to reducing the incidence, prevalence and impact of HIV/AIDs among key populations and supporting the sexual health needs of sexual and gender minorities.
