ISHR in Greenland

Elsa Stamatopoulou, Director of the Indigenous Peoples' Rights Program at ISHR attended the International Whaling Commission Export Workshop on Aboriginal Subsistence Whaling in Maniitsoq, Greenland in September. 

 

Around 40 experts gathered to inform the work of the Commission regarding cultural and subsistence issues of Indigenous peoples within the contemporary context of Indigenous peoples' rights, especially of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
