Kei Hiruta (BA Keio; MA Essex; MSc Oxford) is Carnegie-Uehiro Fellow at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. He earned his D.Phil. viva at Oxford University where he has written a thesis on concepts of pluralism in mid-twentieth-century political thought. He works in ethics, political theory and political ideologies. His current research focuses on Hannah Arendt's and Isaiah Berlin's moral and political ideas.
