Justine Shaw is Academic Convenor and Tutor for the Global Dialogues in Women’s Empowerment in Eurasian Contexts Feminist Mentoring (WEF) Programme, Lady Margaret Hall (University of Oxford). She holds a BA (University of Sussex), MA (University College London), and PhD (University of Sussex).
Dr. Claire Somerville is currently the executive director of the Gender Centre at the Graduate of Institute of International and Development Studies. An applied medical anthropologist by training she continues to pursue research in global health, systems innovation and technology; teach various courses and supervise students in the Development & International Studies MA programmes including applied research and qualitative methods and also delivers modules in executive education courses. In her role at the Gender Centre she leads on policy, outreach and strategy to advance the centre’s mission. Claire is also active in promoting women leaders in global health.
Eylem Nazlı Taşdemir works as a Program Officer at Columbia Global Centers in Istanbul since 2016. Eylem holds a B.A. in History from Boğaziçi University and a MATILDA European Master in Women’s and Gender History at the Central European University. Her M.A. thesis “Suat Derviş: A Friend of the Soviet Union” focuses on the political biography of Suat Derviş and her brochure “Why I am a Friend of the Soviet Union” written in 1944. Eylem has experience working with a multinational company as a Marketing Communication Specialist where she gained solid experience with the private sector. She also worked with an NGO as a Training Coordinator where she developed and designed training programs and plans for projects focusing on child labor, gender equality, and youth development.
Julia Wojnowska-Radzinska is assistant professor at the Chair of Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration Adam Mickieiwcz University in Poznan (Poland) and former expert for legislation in the in Bureau of Research of the Chancellery of the Polish Sejm in Warsaw. Her research focuses on human rights, European constitutionalism, protection of fundamental rights of EU citizens and third country nationals in the area of freedom, security, and justice and antidiscrimination law. Mrs. Wojnowska-Radzinska is also a researcher of the Centre for Migration Studies (CeBaM) at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and a member of the research programme “MIGRA – TEAM” within the framework of the Rule of Law Institute in Lublin (Poland).
