ISHR launched a new fellowship opportunity - the Human Rights Research Fellowship - which provides funding to students who wish to gain valuable research experience, while supporting the work of Columbia faculty conducting human rights-related research. Human rights students across Columbia received a research fellowship to support faculty in the departments of Political Science (Barnard and Columbia), History (Barnard College), the Center on Sustainable Investment (Columbia Law School), Peace and Human Rights Education (Teachers College).

International Federation for Human Rights is publishing a new report: "Russia: Crimes Against History" and is organizing an online conference on June 10 to coincide with its launch. The report details the violations of human rights committed by the Russian regime in furtherance of State historical memory policy, to the detriment of historians, activists, NGOs and other "history producers" that work on commemorating victims of Soviet era crimes.

Alliance for Historical Dialogue & Accountability alumna (2020-2021) Marija Ristic co-authors an article on "Serbia Shields Commanders from Kosovo Wartime Atrocity Cases" in BalkanInsight. The article reflects on twenty-one years after a massacre by Yugoslav Army soldiers in Kosovo. Furthermore, it details how the trial of the alleged perpetrators is still ongoing and how a Serbian court has ruled that senior commanders cannot be held legally responsible for crimes committed by their subordinates.
