The University Human Rights Education in Myanmar Project at the Institute for the Study of Human Rights completed its fifth training in Myanmar at the end of July 2017.
Congratulations to 2014 graduate Saranya Misra, who was recently appointed as Communications Officer at UNICEF New York’s Division of Communications.
Misra graduated from Columbia University with a Master’s Degree in Human Rights Studies in May 2014. Her thesis focused on Political Activism through Social Media, including a comparative analysis of the topic across the Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, and China.
Through ISHR's Student Volunteer Program, undergraduate Stephanie Kim volunteered in Nepal this summer with 2016 Advocate Chhing Lamu Sherpa of the NGO Mountain Spirit.
