Each summer, ISHR sends Columbia University human rights students abroad to contribute to the advocacy efforts of organizations led by alumni of the HRAP and AHDA programs through the Graduate Student Volunteers Program (GSVP).
Congratulations to 1996 Advocate Twesigye Jackson Kaguri, Founder and Executive Director of Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project in Uganda, who was honored by Shenandoah University (Virigina, USA) with a Doctorate in Humanities.

2011 Advocate Ifeanyi Orazulike, Executive Director of the International Center for Advocacy on Rights to Health (ICARH), presented at the Informal Interactive Civil Society Hearing on HIV at the United Nations in April. Ifeanyi addressed the need to reach out to prisoners and men who have sex with men (MSM).
